    • 2. • The food Indians ate depended on where they lived.
    • 3. • Indians built many kinds of homes. Some groups such as the Haide of the northwest coast built houses big enough for several families.
    • 4. • The Indians made their clothes from animal skins and fur.
    • 5. • The Indians did not have horses or cattle before the Europeans came. They traveled by water. Many Indians made narrow boats called canoes of tree bark.
    • 6. • The French and Indian wars were four wars that took place in North America between 1689 and 1763.
    • 7. • Indian families spent most of their time finding food, clothing, and place to live.
