  • Lets you comment paragraph by paragraph in the margins of a text Watch the video
  • Set up (formatting) can be tricky
  • Highly recommend you watch the video
  • And we’re not talking about Comedy Central’s popular Futurama.
  • Biblion: World’s Fair is a free Apple iPad app.  This former App of the Week provides access to documents, images, films, audio, and essays about the 1939-1940 World’s Fair in New York City.  A web version of it came out this past summer.  Images of the Futurama portion are featured.
  • Here’s a typewriter that weighs 14 tons and is 1,728 times larger than life.
  • Elektro’s companion, Sparko, followed at his master’s heels — and at command, walked forward and back, sat down, and barked.
  • Yes, Bob Barker, that is “Miss Television.” I’m sure you remember her. This is screening the latest RCA in flat surface mode. And they have a wonderfully modern rotary dial telephone for a quick (?) call to the RCA help desk.
  • The first transparent “X-ray” motor car or hot rod constructed in the United States was on view at the GM exhibit.
  • These is a top-secret view of Futurama from 1939. These men are not preparing the set for Godzilla.
  • Save and continue – will email you, give you public/unlisted options.
  • Give it up for Many Eyes, a free interactive visualization experiment by IBM Research and the IBM Cognos software group.  Essentially, it is a collection of data visualizations which allows users to create visualizations of their own data, discuss their discoveries, and be involved with the visualizations and data sets of others.  Once registered you can rate data sets, select items to watch, and create & participate in topic centers.
  • An enterprise suite of web-based messaging and collaboration applications for businesses, schools and other organizations.  In 2011, Wyoming state government transitioned 10,000 employees to Google Apps with the expectation of saving over $1 million annually.  Google Apps includes as a core offering, Gmail for business, Google Docs, Google Calendar, Google Sites, and more for $5 per user per month.
  • The Newspaper Clipping Generator provides a free and fun way to create newspaper clippings with your own headline and story.  Key in any info and it generates a newspaper clipping for you to use in a presentation, blog, report, etc.
  • Does not have phone capability. Limited # of files it supports and no more than 5 pages of a PDF.
  • Can save your rooms, can embed your rooms.
  • Urbanspoon is a great restaurant tool even for rural Wyo. It has free mobile apps for Android, BlackBerry and iPhone users.  While you can search for information and vote on restaurants without an Urbanspoon account, you’ll need one to share experiences, post photos, get recommendations, create a wishlist of restaurants you’d like to visit, and more. Everybody who joins can make Urbanspoon a little better.
  • Use the slot machine widget to help you decide where to eat. Click or tap “Spin”. When restaurant selection pops up, click or tap the right arrow key for the particulars on the restaurant.
  • Works with iPhone, iPad and Android
  • Can also pay using Square with the Square card case app.
