What Volunteer Programmes do we offer: <ul><li>Short Term International Volunteer projects or “Workcamps” 2-4 weeks in Europe, Russia, Africa, Asia, North and Latin America </li></ul><ul><li>Number of projects available: each year approx. 2000 </li></ul><ul><li>Medium Term Projects 3-6 months </li></ul><ul><li>UK Programme </li></ul><ul><li>EVS 6 months-Year </li></ul>

What does a project involve: <ul><li>A project involves a group of 10-20 people </li></ul><ul><li>The group is made up of many different nationalities </li></ul><ul><li>Volunteers working for 2-3 weeks </li></ul><ul><li>The group work together, stay in the same accommodation, eat and socialise together </li></ul><ul><li>Accommodation can range from camping to staying in hostels. </li></ul>

What types of volunteering can you do: <ul><li>Restore a caste in France </li></ul><ul><li>Volunteer in a nature reserve in Italy </li></ul><ul><li>Promote organic farming in Japan </li></ul><ul><li>Help construct a play park in Kenya </li></ul><ul><li>Teach English in Thailand </li></ul><ul><li>Assist with holidays for people with special needs in the USA </li></ul>
  9. 9. How much does it cost and how do you apply for a project: <ul><ul><li>Volunteers pay a registration fee of £180 plus their travel and insurance. Food and accommodation are provided free of charge </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Visit Concordia’s website: </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Go to Project Search which will take you to our database of projects. From 1 st April there will be over 2000 projects on-line </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>The easiest way to select a project is to check what date you want to go away and to which country. </li></ul></ul>

How much does it cost and how do you apply for a project: <ul><ul><li>Select the project you would like to go on and its worth having a few choices as the projects do fill up </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Pay on-line and you will hear back between 3 -5 days if you are placed on the project </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Once you are placed then you can book your travel and usual 4 weeks before you go you will get your ‘info sheet’ which gives you all the information you need to know about your project. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Go and have fun! </li></ul></ul>

What else can you do with Concordia: <ul><li>EVS (European Voluntary Service) – A fully funded long term voluntary programme for 6 – 12 months </li></ul><ul><li>Co-ordinate a UK project – lead a group of international volunteers on a UK project </li></ul><ul><li>Internship at the Concordia office </li></ul><ul><li>Learn to become a trainer by helping at our training weekends </li></ul><ul><li>Join a Medium Term Volunteer project 1 – 3 months </li></ul><ul><li>Become a Concordia publicity volunteers and represent us at University fairs </li></ul>
