Exercise: The Ideal Leader © West End Training <ul><li>Firstly - get into 3 teams. </li></ul><ul><li>Divide each pack of cards into 4 groups: </li></ul><ul><li>Personal – individual attributes e.g. single-minded </li></ul><ul><li>Organisational – ability to control and organise work e.g. chair successful meetings </li></ul><ul><li>Interpersonal – motivate and handle personnel e.g. encourages junior staff </li></ul><ul><li>Irrelevant or Bad – no relevant to performance at work e.g. plays bridge or cannot make decisions </li></ul>
  10. 10. Exercise: The Ideal Leader © West End Training <ul><li>Now – discard the cards in Group 4 (Irrelevant or Bad) </li></ul><ul><li>Then, keeping the other cards in each of their groups….. </li></ul><ul><li>Select the top 30 cards which you feel are most important. </li></ul>

  14. 14. Exercise: Choose Your Leader © West End Training Man the lifeboats!! Your ship is sinking!! Firstly, get into 4 teams (lifeboats). From the handouts, study the details of the others in your lifeboat. Put them in order of preference for the leader.
