    3. INTRODUCTION
      • Strawerries are the most popular summer fruits.
      • They are a healthy product :
      • Vitamin C
      • Minerals
    4. OBJETIVES
      • The main purpose of this study was to compare how cultivation, variety fertilization, region, weather conditions and ripeness degree could affect the nutritive values of strawberries.
      • The variety used for the study:
      • “ senga sengana” and they are
      • compared to five other
      • alternatives.
    5. METHODS
      • They were collected between 1997 and 1998
      • The berries were cultivated in similar growing conditions
      • The samples were 1000 grams and they were separated in different subsamples.
      • The parameters to analyze were:
      • Mineral elements
      • Vitamin C
      • Pesticides
    6. MINERAL ELEMENTS
      • The conclusions were:
      • Potassium was the main mineral followed by Calcium and Magnesium.
      • Most of the minerals in the strawberries have a well-regulated homeostasis.
      RESULTS
    7. VITAMIN C
      • Content of Vitamin C in strawberries is not affected by organic cultivation.
      • Significant differences were found statistically among the varieties in both years .
      PESTICIDES
      • No illegal use was detected .
      • The concentration of pestice was lower than the highest accepted level .
      RESULTS
    8. CONCLUSION
      • The genotype and the origin have a more important effect on the fruit than the techniques used for its cultivation.
      • All strawberries were safe for their consumition.
      • Every agricultural practice analyzed was developed correctly.
      • There are some differences among the varieties of strawberry studied
    9. PERSONAL CONCLUSION
      • We think:
      • * that this experiment is an important study because it displays the differences among several varieties of strawberries.
      • We suggest:
      • * Strawberries in all diets because it is a quite complete fruit
