  • A dwarf planet is a celestial body orbiting the Sun that is massive enough to be rounded by its own gravity but has not cleared its neighbouring region of planetesimals and is not a satellite . Dwarf planets are planets tthat are considered to small to be considered a planet.
  • Picture from http://www.epcc.edu/nwlibrary/borderlands/25/Images/Clyde%20W.%20Tombaugh.jpg. Wich is a reflecting telescope using a concave primary mirror and a flat diagonal secondary mirror.
  • Picture from http://archives.starbulletin.com/2007/07/18/news/art6x.jpg. Pluto has an estimated diameter of 2,300 kilometers wich is less than a fifth of pluto and is considered the ninth- largest celestial body in the solar system.
  • www.nasa.gov. PLuto’s temperature is very cold that no living things could live on it because it reaches -225 C° wich is colder of Antartica.

    1. 1. DEFINITION OF A PLANET “ A non-luminous celestial body larger than an asteroid or comet, illuminated by light from a star, such as the sun, around which it revolves.” (www.nasa.gov)
    2. 2. WHAT IS A DWARF PLANET?
    3. 3. WHY PLUTO ISN’T ANYMORE CONSIDERED A PLANET? WHEN THEY DISCOVERED COMETS AND ASTEROIDS BIGGER THAN PLUTO THEY DECIDED THAT PLUTO WAS TO SMALL FOR BEING A PLANET.
