FOUR LEVELS OF FELLOWSHIPLevel 1: MEMBERSHIP: CHOOSING TO BELONGLevel 2: FRIENDSHIP: LEARNING TO SHARELevel 3: PARTNERSHIP: DOING MY PARTLevel 4: KINSHIP: LOVING BELIEVERS LIKE FAMILY
Acts 2:42 “ they were like family to each other.”We are not just LIKE FAMILY, but we ARE FAMILY
Romans 12:10“Be devoted to each other like a loving family.”
Fellowship:“ koinonia” – committed to each other as we are to Jesus Christ.
This is the level of willing to SACRIFICEfor another.
laying down their lives for each other
STANDING WITH OTHER BELIEVERS WHEN THEY ARE GOING THROUGH A CRISIS.WHEN EVERYBODY ELSE WALKS OUT, YOU WALK IN!
People refuse to join a small group because theywant to have a safe emotional distance. But the truth is, life is messy. The safest emotional distance is when you’rebound with other believers who are loving andcommitted to you and where you can lovinglycommit to others, because life is just too shortto do it alone.
Life is not (just) aboutACCOMPLISHMENTS.IT IS ABOUTRELATIONSHIPS.
CONCLUSIONThere is no other proof of being a DISCIPLE OF JESUS but KINSHIP.
John 13:35 Your strong love for each other will prove to the world that you are My disciples.”I John 3:10 “ anyone who does not know how to love other Christians does not belong to God.”I John 4:20 “Those who do not love their brothers and sisters whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have never seen.”
How far have you gone to become family/kin to other believers? What fellowship of suffering have you gone through together?Hanggang saan na ang nagawa mo upang maipakita na ikaw ay nagmamahal sa kapatiran bilang kapamilya? Anong matinding sakripisyo na ang iyong nagawa para sa kanya?
