  • Facebook Pages vs. Facebook Groups
A Facebook Pageis kind of like a blog. It gets updated by you, just like a website would. Use it for: a broad product category (like boots, VHS tapes or swizzle sticks), a state of being (like "Being Bored," "Italian Americans," "Being over 6'0" tall), a declaration (like "I love bread" or "I hate bad drivers")
A Facebook Groupis kind of like a chat room. It gets moderated by you, and its focus are the conversations that are posted to it by you and other members. Use it for: a cause (anti or for something), a local community (your town's baseball league), a discussion forum (religion and politics always fits the bill), a meet-up spot (think: your World of War craft clan, or something to that effect.)
  • To Deactivate Your Account
If you deactivate your account, you will not be able to access Facebook unless reactivate your account. You can reactivate by logging into Facebook with your email and password, but you will not remain a member of groups that you joined before you deactivated your account.
Click the Settings tab and click Deactivate in the Deactive Account Section.
The Confirm Facebook Deactivation screen is displayed.
Select the reason you are deactivating your Facebook account.
