  2. Appearance
    • Their tail’s are long and bushy.
    • The ears are small and hairless.
    • Their eyes are large brown and a little red.
    • Their body’s are soft and fluffy.
  3. Food
    • Grass is important to their diet.
    • They also eat seeds as food.
    • Some species of Kangaroo rats eat green vegetation and insects.
  4. Defenses
    • These mammals have powerful hind legs
    • Their hind legs are use to protect themselves from rattle snake
    • It is also use to hop and dig burrows.
  5. Adaptations
    • If a place has no water, Kangaroo rats carry extra water.
  6. Is It Endangered?
    • Some types of Kangaroo Rats are:
    • Fresno
    • Giant
    • Morro Bay
    • Stephens‘
    • Tipton
    • San Bernardino Merriam's
