    It is a temple of the Athena
    It was built in the 5th century BC on the Athenian Acropolis

    It is a symbol of ancient Greece, also democracy of Athens
    The Parthenon has become tourist attractions with other buildings in acropolis
  • 4. History of Parthenon
    It was built in 5th century BC worship to Athena Goddess
    Many temple of Athena destroyed by Persian in 480 BC.
    It changed to worship to Maria in 6th century
  • 5. Who / Why made?
    Iktinos and Kallikratis were the architects.
    Phidias was the sculptor of the Athena Pallada statue.
    Pericles was the politician who ordered the construction of the Athens Acropolis and Parthenon is the dominant Temple of the construction.
    The Acropolis was built over the ruins of previous monument destroyed during the Persian Greek wars.

    The temple made of Limestone.
    Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed largely of the mineral calcite.
