  • 4. History of Parthenon<br />It was built in 5th century BC worship to Athena Goddess<br />Many temple of Athena destroyed by Persian in 480 BC.<br />It changed to worship to Maria in 6th century<br />

Who / Why made?<br />Iktinos and Kallikratis were the architects. <br />Phidias was the sculptor of the Athena Pallada statue. <br />Pericles was the politician who ordered the construction of the Athens Acropolis and Parthenon is the dominant Temple of the construction. <br />The Acropolis was built over the ruins of previous monument destroyed during the Persian Greek wars. <br />
