  • Who is Hector?
    • Hector of Troy was the oldest son of the magnificent King Priam and the beautiful Queen Hecuba.
    • Married to Andromache and had one son named Astyanax.
  • Physical traits
    • Hector acted as a leader of the Trojans and their allies in the defense of Troy.
      • Strong man
      • Soldierly
  • Personality traits
    • believable son, brother, husband and father.
    • had a lot of confident and also had a responsibility for his country, Troy.
    • an attentive husband and father.
    • loved his country and tried to make a better place a lot.
    • He felt guilty after he fought and killed the enemies.
  • Relationships
    • was a favorite of Apollo.
    • Father, King Priam: Hector was a good son of Priam and the king believed him a lot. Also, Priam entrusted the country to Hector.
    • Wife, Andromache: Hector loved his wife a lot and they had a great relationship. He was very believable and attentive husband.
    • brother, Paris: Trojan War started because Paris stole prince of Sparta, Helen. However, he would rather protect Paris than got mad at him.
    • Achilles: Hector killed Achilles’ cousin, Patroclus, and that brings a fighting between them and his death .

  • Hector’s action in Trojan War
    • At the first time, he did not want to make a war so told Paris to get Helen back to Sparta.
    • During the war, he fought and led Trojans for the country.
    • Hector’s mistake to kill Petroclus made Achilles angry and it brought Hector’s death. Also, Achilles decided to join the War.
  • Motivation
    • “ Love your country and Love your woman”
      • His patriotism was very special.
      • ‘ Love your woman’ expresses his love of wife and also goddess of Troy, which was Artemis. Therefore, it means that Hector wanted Trojans to fight for the country.
