  • Hampi was ruled by four dynasties viz Kadambas, Chalukyas, Rashtrakutas, Hoysalas and Mohmammed Tuglaq before brothers Harihar and Bukkaestablished the famed Kingdome of Vijaynagar in 1336.
  • One of the three stone chariots of India. The other two are at Konark and Mahabalipuram
  • The wheels could turn untiltourists almost dislodged them;.
  • Barter trade of horses and diamonds with Chinese and Portuguese traders
  • These pillars produced musical notes
  • Hampi saw the Golden Age during the twenty year regimeof Krishna Devaraya, (1509-1529) the most famous king of the empire of Vijayanagr Chandrashekhara Temple
