  • 1. Organizations- 10 Basic learningBy, Sundeep Mohanty1. “Energy can be converted from one form to other”, similarlyopportunities sometimes stays in one of its other form-“challenges”and can be utilized by accepting the challenge and turning it back toopportunity.2. Plasma state of matter- though mostly electrically neutral, yet eachparticle influences nearby charged particles rather than justinteracting with the closet particles. Organization with plasmaticemployees can be more affective and productive and makes theOrganization more valued because they empower others who workswith them and success comes when all works for common goal.3. Banked Curved: This theory mostly used to design high-speed roads. This is to balance centrifugal force to balance the moving objects andincrease the traction by directing the weight of the object (vehicle)towards its center and in downward direction. Therefore, if you arebuilding curvy road to drive fast (expand your customer base) youshould consider “banked curve” theory during building/updating theroad (business strategy). Now back to Organization and business- Today’s businessenvironment is not straight forward, with complex and tight economicenvironment and with innovation & invention of new technologies, running and managing a business is challenging. How prepared isyour Organization? Yes, most of the times Organizations have visionin place, but if Organizations don’t spend enough time and resourcesto build their sustainable strategy on which they can drive to competein this fast spaced market condition and fulfill Organizations vision
  • 2. then they will be perished in a tight economy or by high marketcompetition. Bottom line- Do not create doors which are might bebeautiful but will not take you nowhere.4. Leader vs. Differentiator: With advancement of science andtechnology it is difficult to sustain long as market leader, so do not trytoo hard to become market leader. Focus on differentiating yourbusiness from others and lure customers to you, if you succeed thenthe market will treat your business as market leader- try to betrendsetter.5. Bad Resources…give a thought: May be some resources are notuseful to you but no resource is bad. Some Organizations knows howto utilize the resources to make it great and some failed tounderstand how to utilize resources and therefore perished or willperish when the organization face any adverse situation or economiccondition.6. Loosing or Winning where you stand: Well both of these not mattersmuch if you are learning in both the situations and know how tocorrect yourself and fight back. Learning is the key, learn from youand learn from others, there is no end to learning, more you learnmore you will feel need of it and more use of it.7. Smart Phone, what else is smart- so what about your business, doesyour business is smart business. Do not just fulfill the need, forcurrent and future generation, needs are default and available. Theyneed extra which they do not expect yet they will use and accept. Ifyour business is not trying to explore that extra which are not askedfor yet customer waiting for then your organization is not focusing onbeing smart, current days smart businesses has more value thanhard earned well established old businesses.
  • 3. 8. Twinkle Twinkle little star: Yes look for them (entrepreneurialbusinesses), research on them and if you feel they create value foryou and for your Organization’s strategic vision, then grab thembefore others grab them.9. Integration vs. Interaction: Technology advanced, information isreadily available, and the world is going towards plug and playapproach, so integration is not a bottleneck for your organization andits products and solution. The challenging factor most of theorganizations facing are interaction- how to make interaction efficient.Efficient interaction reduces cost, increases effectiveness and makeintegration easy. Focus on interaction, integration will come along.10. Don’t follow what others say- people will say what they want tosay, it’s you who need to filter good things from all the inputs and dothinks which you think appropriate for you and your Organization. Ifsomeone criticizes, it means it creates an opportunity to learn, improve and keep moving forward and slowly the voice of criticismswill fade away.Note: Above I shared my learning on how the Organizations should sustain theirbusiness. These are my personal interpretation.
