Pre-17th-Family-Dinner Pre-17th-Family-Dinner Presentation Transcript

  • Birthday Dinner @ The View
    03/06/2010
  • Snapped by an Attentive Waiter
  • Snapped by an Attentive Waiter
  • From the Appetizers & Salad Buffet Spread
  • Lots of variety of Salad Dressings.
The Salmon was FRESH and SLICED in the spot. Sliced thin enough to melt in the mouth.
The vegetables were fresh and had lovely olives, pickles, beans…
  • Garlic Bread topped with Herb Butter
    &
Pumpkin Bread? –If I’m not mistaken-
  • The butter was flavorful with the extra kick of herbs.
  • The Pumpkin Bread was nice & fluffy.
  • From the Appetizers & Salad Buffet Spread
  • The Scallops were disappointing.
But the squid was chewy and juicy.
& the Oysters was Fresh and SWEET.
  • From the Appetizers & Salad Buffet Spread
    Tantalizing assortment of hordourves.
  • Mushroom Soup
    -Blended Shitake Mushrooms, Button Mushrooms…-
  • Very Satisfying in taste & portion
  • Grapefruit Sorbet
  • Refreshing & Clears the tastes buds from previous dishes.
Not too sure about the ice/sugar shaving-ball on top.
It was hard, hard to eat & prickly in the mouth.
Is it suppose to be like that?
  • Filet de Morue@RM98
-Roasted Canadian Cod on potato brandade with black truffle emulsion-
  • Satisfying but did not “burst” in my mouth.
    A nice cozy kinda dish.
  • Tournedos de BoeufRossini@RM149
-On truffle-infused polenta with seared foiegras and perigueuxsauce-
  • I found out that I DO NOT LIKE foiegras.
To me, it is eating a load of Fat.
This dish was not good at all.
Bro requested for a medium rare.
It was tough and not nice to your teeth chewing it.
  • Les Raviolis@RM109
-Foiegras, black truffle and potato ravioli in marsala chicken broth
    served with red currant foam-
  • Mum was not too happy with the
    Marsala Chicken Broth
Because it got oily due to the deep fried toppings.
    But the Ravioli was good.
  • Fletan de Paupiette@RM98
-Roasted halibut on Mediterranean style ratatouille with lemon-garlic beurreblanc “baked in a bag”-
  • Daddy said this was nice. Not much complaints. The Halibut was fresh with the nice lemon-garlic sauce.
  • From the Dessert Buffet Spread
  • There is an assortment of cheese with crackers & biscotti.
    The Tiramisu was HEAVENLY.
Had that extra kick & that tiramisu taste Penang bakeries lack.
There were dried prunes, figs, apricots, and all types of nuts by the cheese section.
  • THIS coffee-cream tart is GOODDD.
  • The Cakes were all rich, fresh, good quality.
