The doctor needs a Facebook profile
The doctor’s profile needs to be an Administrator of the practice’s Page
Another staff may also be Administrators in order to do the posting and handle responses

Choose the “Health/Medical/Pharmacy” category
Enter the Practice Name at “Business or Place”
Choose carefully; you cannot change after 100 fans
Enter the main office address & contact info
Read and agree to Facebook’s terms

Keep “Page Visibility” box unchecked
Keep “Wall Page Shows” set to “All Posts”
Generally keep “Default Landing Page” set to “Wall” unless you have a custom content tab
Under “Posting Ability” keep “Users can write or post content on the wall” checked
Pictures and videos are up to your discretion
Set “Profanity Blocklist” at your discretion

Set office hours in “Hours” if you have same hours for all office locations
The “About” text is displayed on the left column under the tab menu. Should be short.
The “Description” text is displayed on the “Info” tab. This can contain more information.
Multi-location practices can list all addresses here
Basic Information

Will be displayed on all tabs of your page
A square thumbnail of it will be used on all wall posts made by your page
Currently uses a maximum image size of 180 pixels wide and 540 pixels high
It will always be shrunk or stretched to 180 pixels wide

The primary admin is responsible for:
Posting information
Responding to comments and questions
Editing settings
Fewer is better

Most applicable to orthodontic practices:
Cannot be available for those under age 18
Cannot require posting on your wall
You cannot contact winners through Facebook
Use a 3rd party app like Wildfire or involver
Facebook can disable your page if caught
