Animation has become increasingly important media form and examplescan be seen in many different formats eg advertising, feature films, mobile phone content, the internetand television. In this unit you will be creating a channel Ident for CWC. Stop motion will be combinedwith designing idents for television. The aim of this unit is to develop an understanding of and skills inthe design and production of onscreen graphic representation and the appropriate technologies ofimage manipulation and production.Project/Assignment Brief:Expressions of interest are requested to produce a 30 – 60 second stop motionanimation, for the CWC TV channels. The idents are to be broadcast on the TV screensaround college. The idents need to reflect the style, branding and attitude of CWC. Inaddition to the longer 30 – 60 second idents. The idents must have orginal content. Intro to channel idents: Write a blog post which identifies and explains three commonalities of channel idents. (Blog label 32.1) 2. Extend your blog post to comprehensively explain design the purposes of channel idents, use at least two idents to illustrate your points. Produce a presentation which comprehensively explain the strengths and weakness of channel idents and give examples to back up your thoughts.
