      • Circa 100 BC
      • Originally in the villa of Cicero, Pompeii, now Naples Archaeological Museum
      • 45cm high, 36 cm wide
      • Two women sitting with an old woman at a table.
      • Older woman could be making a potion for her clients.
      • They all have clenched hands and theatrical masks, and appear to be reciting a ritual.
      • Could depict a scene from Greek Menander’s comedy, “Women at breakfast”.
      • The older woman appears to be complaining, possibly the quality of her wine.
    2. Style
      • Depth and space are created by:
      • Horizontal and vertical bands
      • Table in middle
      • Highlighting of woman in profile
