A Single Supply Standard 8051 Microcontroller based Medical Kgrade Isolation ECG Module with Graphics LCD Health monitoring is crucial for the survival of the ill and fragile people admitted at the intensive care unit (ICU) in a hospital. Electrocardiography is a transthoracic (across the thorax or chest) interpretation of the electrical activity of the heart over a period of time, as detected by electrodes attached to the outer surface of the skin and recorded by a device external to the body. The recording produced by this noninvasive procedure is termed as electrocardiogram (also ECG or EKG). An ECG is a test that records the electrical activity of the heart. ECG is used to measure the rate and regularity of heartbeats, as well as the size and position of the chambers, the presence of any damage to the heart, and the effects of drugs or devices used to regulate the heart, such as a pacemaker. Existing system: Presently, placement of the adhesive sensors and the presence of all the wires lead to discomfort and even painful stimuli. The ECG level is monitored in the hospitals only. So, we go for our proposed system. Proposed System: In this paper, we report an exploration of utilizing latest technique to monitor the heart condition of a person. We are using ECG sensor to sense the ECG level which is interfaced with the microcontroller. The Graphical LCD we are using in this project to view the waveform level of the ECG. The microcontroller receives the signal from the sensor through ADC0808 which convert the analog signal into digital signal. Then, the microcontroller encrypts and send the output to Graphical LCD.
