A Mumbai teen debuts as the first Indian superhero created by comic legend Stan Lee, the driving force behind some of the world's popular comic book heroes like Super-Man, X Men, Thor and Fantastic Four. Lee in collaboration with local artists and writers has created the hero “X - The Invincible," that is expected to be launched in India by April 2012 and would be distributed in India by Liquid Comics. It is notable for its peculiar diet, which, uniquely for a spider, is mostly herbivorous. No other known spider has such a thoroughly herbivorous diet. In aviation, X is a term used when members of an airline's flight staff are carried free of charge but not working. This most often happens when airline crew are located in the wrong place and need to travel to take up their duties. This is also known as positioning.
The etymology of the expression is unknown, but aviation experts say the term originated "when trains were hauling cattle, if one died enroute, it was known as a X, as opposed to live stock. Trains only got paid for carrying the live ones
X is a hand-spun yarn woven in India, made popular in the 1960s (most notably in S E Hintons book The Outsiders). Dyes that were not colorfast were used, resulting in bleeding and fading colors that gave the fabric a new, personalized look each time it was laundered. As the colours bled into the water during each wash, it was called X . Especially popular in California at the time, shirts were marketed as guaranteed to fade.
X which can be translated literally from Japanese as "death from overwork", is occupational sudden death. Although this category has a significant count, Japan is one of the few countries which reports it in the statistics as a separate category.
The major medical causes of X deaths are heart attack and stroke due to stress. The first case of X was reported in 1969 with the death from a stroke of a 29-year-old male worker in the shipping department of Japan's largest newspaper company.
