The Code of Hammurabi The code was carved on a black diorite monument It is eight feet high Found in 1901 in the Persian Mountains The code begins and ends with addresses to the gods, even a law in those days was a subject for prayer The laws go From 1-282 but 13 and 66-99 are missing Currently located in the Louvre Museum in Paris-France
