Cells

  1. 1. Cells
  2. 2. Cells are the “Starting Point”All living organisms on Earth are divided in pieces calledcells. There are smaller pieces to cells that includeproteins and organelles. There are also larger piecescalled tissues and systems. Cells are smallcompartments that hold all of the biological equipmentnecessary to keep an organism alive and successful onEarth.
  3. 3. What do cells do?A main purpose of a cell is to organize. Cells hold avariety of pieces and each cell has a different set offunctions. It is easier for an organism to grow andsurvive when cells are present. If you were onlymade of one cell, you would only be able to grow to acertain size. You dont find single cells that are aslarge as a cow. Also, if you were only one cell youcouldnt have a nervous system, no muscles formovement, and using the internet would be out of thequestion. The trillions of cells in your body make yourlife possible.
