  • 1. My space journey By Catherine Wang And Jiyun lee
  • 2. Monday,31 st of may 2007
    • Dear diary,
    • Tomorrow I am going to space with my dad on one of his work station’s shuttles (he works for N.A.S.A). We are leaving at 9:00 sharp to the station and borrowing a shuttle. Estimated time to space is 9.8 minuets from arrival
    • I’m so excited!
    • Emily
  • 3. Tuesday,1 st of June 2007
    • Dear diary,
    • Right now I’m riding the car to the station.
    • I can’t wait!
    • Dad says I should get out my underwear as a flag and wave it to a U.F.O. I think he’s kidding.
    • Emily
  • 4. Still Tuesday……
    • Dear diary,
    • On the space ship now. Dad introduced me to our captain, Josh. Here’s the big countdown, 5-4-3-2-1- BLAST OFF! We are now in space now.
    • We have a nice crew. Josh introduced me to Cindy the nurse, Violet, the Ship’s cook and a few tour astronauts. Flora was my favorite astronaut.
    • The other Crewmen Helped the shuttle’s radar satellites and the utility straps on the suits.
    • Emily
  • 5. Wednesday
    • Dear diary,
    • Right now we are at Mercury.
    • One side of Mercury is hotter than the other side!
    • The Hot side nearer to the sun can rise up to 700 c and the cooler side in a shadow can go down to -300c.
    • It’s too hot to land on Mercury so we’ll go on to Venus.
    • Emily
Dad let me cut out a photo of mercury for my diary!
  • 6. Thursday
    • Dear diary,
    • We are now on Venus.
    • Me, Dad and Flora came out with some of Violet’s Homemade cookies and super utility Masks and tanks.
    • “ Venus has poisonous acid clouds over the surface,”
    • Flora pointed out, munching a cookie.
    • “ It is the hottest planet in our solar system.”
    • I like Violet’s cookies.
    • Emily
  • 7. Friday
    • Dear diary,
    • We are going to skip earth and head right on to Mars (duh?).
    • Ok, now were on Mars. Mars is the red planet.
    • We had to keep on going, there was a asteroid belt near us.
    • Emily
  • 8. Saturday
    • Dear diary,
    • We’re stopping by Jupiter now. Since it’s actually a huge planet bulging with gas, helium and oxide we can’t land.
    • The cloud patterns change within hours or days. The Great Red Spot is a storm moving in a counter-clockwise direction. At the outer edge, material appears to move in four to six days; near the center, motions are small and nearly random in direction. A bunch of other smaller storms can be found through out the clouds.
    • I read all that in the radar scanning Information computer 3000.
    • Emily.
    • PS I’m writing tiny to fit this all in
  • 9. Sunday
    • Dear diary,
    • WE RAN OUT OF GAS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    • We are rocketing toward the sun!
    • OH NO!
    • Emily
  • 10. Monday
    • Dear diary,
    • Sheesh! Its getting really hot. Uh oh! Were only few hundred meters from the sun!
    • That’s far away enough to melt 2,00,0,000000
    • Earths!
    • Emily
  • 11. Tuesday
    • Dear diary,
    • There’s good news and bad news.
    • The good news, we broke free of the pull and with the help of our crew, the ultra boosters on the rocket and the stuff we got on a course to earth!
    • Bad news, It might take a few days back to earth.
    • Emily
