Stuart Kirk was born on 3rd April 1954 in the County Borough of Middlesbrough in the North-East of England.
He graduated from the School of Agriculture at Lincolnshire College of Agriculture and Horticulture, Caythorpe near Grantham in 1983 with an NCA. Stuart spent some years in the agricultural and countryside industries.
In 1989 he followed a vocation into the Catholic Church at Ushaw College, a seminary in County Durham and in 1993 to the religious life at Prinknash Abbey, a Benedictine monastery in Gloucester. He re-entered the secular world in 1994.
From 1998 until 2001 he studied administration (NVQ III), business and management at the University of Teesside and graduated with a BA (Hons) in Business Management. He then gained a Master of Science degree in Marketing Management in 2002.
Stuart Kirk has worked in the agricultural and allied industries and also has experience in conservation and recreation, administration and entrepreneurial management. His current portfolio offers services in management consultancy, marketing research, marketing and advertising, agriculture and the countryside.
