  1. 1. Joy Cowley General Information Joy Cowley was born on 7 August 1936 in Levin New Zealand. Joy Cowleys birth name was Cassia Joy Summers. When she was little she wanted to be an artist, but like telling stories. She started writing because one of her children had a reading problem, so she started writing books, so he could learn to read. She has eight cats, about twenty sheep, some hens, a dog and a goose. For her 60th birthday she went bungy jumping. She has 4 children. and 13 grand children. she was little she played hockey in Winter & swimming in Summer. She goes on adventures with her grand children.
  2. 2. Joy Cowley Achievements Joy Cowley has written over 600 children books. Sheʼs won heaps of awards,one of her previous awards was for the book Hunter. Four of her books were made into movies.
  3. 3. Joy Cowley Why is she so inspiring? She is a great children’s author, & writes amazing books. I like how instead of making up a charter, she wrote about one of her cats, Greedy cat. She’s written over 600 kids books, when I was little I liked Greedy cat. One of her most popular book is Mrs Wishy Washy. By Zoe & Lily
