  3. 3. Remove the single smallPhillips screw (#00) fromthe motherboardAlso use your pry tool torelease the lower tapecovering twomotherboard connections
  4. 4. Release the two (2) jaw connectors from themotherboard. The larger jaw connector is for theLCD, the smaller one is for the keypad LED’s.
  5. 5. Release the volume buttonflex cable & power buttonflex cable from the housing.Be cautious as these arevery delicate. They are heldin place with a smallamount of adhesive
  6. 6. Use a pry tool to gently lift theupper motherboard away from theframe. Be cautious as there is stillone (1) flex cable that will need tobe released from its jaw connector.This is the touch screen digitizerconnector.The motherboard can now beremoved, being careful nothing iscaught on the frame.
  7. 7. Once the motherboard isremoved use a heat gunor hair dryer on mediumheat to warm the front ofthe screen assembly.Heat the outside edges ofthe touch screen foraround 30 seconds
  8. 8. With the adhesive properlywarmed you can then beginreleasing the touch screenfrom the front frame. Use apry tool or spudger torelease the adhesive, beingcautious of the lowerkeypad flex cable which willstay attached to the frame.
  9. 9. Once the majority of theadhesive is released, thetouch screen will still beattached by its flexcable. To remove the flexcable you will need toapply slight pressure tothe back of the LCD toallow room for thedigitizer flex cable toslide out
  10. 10. Click here If you do not need to replace the LCD screen With the touch screen removed use your heat gun or hair dryer again to warm the back of the LCD screen. Focus on the areas marked as this is where the adhesive lays
  11. 11. Use your spudger to apply pressure on the LCDscreen through the holes in the housing. If theadhesive is not releasing, use more heat. You mayflip the screen assembly over and pry the LCDscreen out once enough adhesive is released.
  12. 12. If replacing the touch screen, apply fresh adhesive in the locationsmarked*Be sure you do not cover any camera or sensor holes with adhesive
  13. 13. If replacing the LCDscreen you will need toreinstall the screen usingthe original adhesive tohelp secure it in place.You can then feed thetouch screen flex cablethrough the slot in thehousing, applying slightpressure on the back ofthe LCD to insure thecable will fit throughwithout damage
  14. 14. Insert the digitizer flexcable back into its jawconnector and then alignthe motherboard,volume button flex, andpower button flex backinto place
  15. 15. Re-insert the two (2) jawconnections back onto themotherboard.Replace the single smallPhillips screw and tapecovering the connectors.
  16. 16. Place the plastic housing over themotherboard and firmly press thehousing until the clips pop into place.Replace: Six (6) Torx T5 screws Sim Card Micro SD Card Battery Back Battery Cover
