  • 2.  The most common type of hair loss in women is androgenic alopecia which is also known as female pattern hair loss. The word alopecia means baldness, but just as in most men, it doesn’t have to be complete loss of the hair. Women’s hair loss is generally seen as diffuse thinning of the hair predominantly at the top or crown area of the head. This certain type of hair loss afflicts approximately one-third of all genetically susceptible women. Normal shedding of the hair is 80 to 100 hair shafts per day. In female pattern hair loss, when the affected hair is shed, the root still thrives to grow one in its place which is a lot shorter and lifeless. Overtime, this hair becomes invisible “peach fuzz.” Experts say that hair loss can come from either parent’s side of the family. http://www.1300hairloss.com.au
  • 3.  Female pattern hair loss may start as early as puberty. In most cases, hormonal balance is also to blame. Many women who go through the process of pregnancy tend to experience hair loss as the hormones inside their body fluctuate rapidly or immoderately. Hormonal changes are a common cause of hair loss in women. Other women are utterly oblivious of the fact that they can actually endure thinning hair or hair loss after pregnancy or having an inconsistent intake of birth control pills. It can also be a result from any sudden psychological and physical stress to the body. These types of hair loss are “Telogen Effluvium” and are just typically temporary and can potentially correct it. http://www.1300hairloss.com.au
  • 4.  Treatment often starts with an anti androgen solutions like the minoxidil 2 percent concentration which is especially intended for women’s use. This type of treatment is used twice a day which is directly applied to the affected areas of the scalp. Using minoxidil treatment may provide irritating side effects like severe scalp itching, swelling, nausea, and fainting. http://www.1300hairloss.com.au
  • 5.  A safe way of treating female pattern hair loss nowadays is by using a product that contains natural ingredient like the saw palmetto extracts. Saw palmetto is perfect for women who happen to experience androgenic alopecia as it can effectively inhibit further DHT production in the scalp which is believed to work in a similar way that a finasteride pill does but without the sexual side effects plus it works in both men and women. A product that uses saw palmetto is Leimo. Leimo is a combination of nature and science as the brand is famous for its organic ingredient which is the saw palmetto extracts and their personal hair laser device that is globally known as the best laser hair therapy. The topical solutions that Leimo provides are perfect for hair loss in women and men. http://www.1300hairloss.com.au
