The typical western diet doesn’t have the nutrients needed to sustain strong healthy hair for many people. That’s one of the main reasons hair loss is so typical in western society and so rare in many eastern regions.
  3. 3.  If your body is deficient in certain vitamins or minerals, hair loss is likely to occur. This is why many anorexics experience hair loss in patchy clumps. Even healthy eaters may not get the right amount of nutrients. That’s why to stop hair loss, it’s advisable to take a daily multivitamin to make up for any diet deficiencies.
  4. 4.  Supplements are also essential in order for our body to withstand the physiological damage that stress may bring. Stress is a leading factor for non-genetic hair loss in both men and women. People under severe physical or emotional stress are more likely to experience hair loss. Therefore to stop hair loss, make an effort to reduce stress in your life. This might be by exercising, meditating, or simply cutting back on your work schedule and taking more time for yourself.
  5. 5.  There are ways to stop hair loss even under stress. Massaging the scalp is a great way to stimulate blood flow in order to relieve stress. Massage your scalp with the tip of your fingers. Make sure that you are moving the hair line back and forth when you are massaging the scalp and don’t do it for longer than 5 minutes. Lying down on your back with your feet propped up against a wall for about 20 minutes is a good way to get blood flowing to the scalp. Your feet should start to fall asleep while you do this and you should feel more relaxed after it is done. Deep breathing can also help you deal with stress and stop hair loss. If you breathe in for 4 seconds you must hold it for 16 seconds then breathe out for 8 seconds. If you breathe in for 8 seconds then you must hold it for 32 seconds and breathe out for 16 seconds.
