  20. 20. I think schools and their students definitely benefit from having the Stoked Mentoring program. Stoked teaches students so many important life lessons and helps them find that voice inside of them and share it in a safe environment with people who care and want to listen. The participants quickly grasp the concept of commitment, responsibility, and accountability, and soon realize that it is actually a privilege to be a part of Stoked.” – Guidance Counselor, Information Technology High School“School leadership teams should partner with Stoked, because this is ahuge opportunity to get kids who are not as bought into traditionalenrichment activities (basketball, dance, etc.) excited about school. OurStoked kids have had really positive things to say about the program andare very determined to continue to work hard in school for the privilege ofcontinuing with Stoked.”– Principal, Achievement First Crown Heights High SchoolWHAT SCHOOLS SAY
  21. 21. “If somebody asked me about Stoked, I would tell them that it’s amentoring program and not just another after-school program. I’mthankful for Stoked because it gave me something to look forward to.When school was really stressful, Stoked was the reason why I came toschool some days.” –Khyna“I learned how to work as a team and be better with my speaking andtalking skills. [I also learned about] having better communication withpeople, having eye contact, and how to work as a team and make askateboard.” –Fabio“My favorite part of the program was getting the experience of makingsomething of myself.
