Alois RUF Jr. history 1960 - Apprenticed to his father, focused on Meticulous Restorations of Porsche 356s 1974 - His father died, Alois Jr. takes over and saw the potential of the Porsche 911 1977 - Introduced first Ruf-enhanced 911, a turbocharged 3.3 liter 1981 - RUF 5-speed transmission for the turbo
