Is pop culture making Teen Pregnancy glamorous ?
What's going on?!!!?

A lot of teenagers still take place against a backdrop of economic distress or a search for love, experts say– this has been a case for years.

But there is also other factors that may make it easier for teens to become sexually active without fully understanding the consequences:

Factors

Glamour shots of pregnant celebs are featured in magazines and on TV alongside increasingly sexualized fashions and images of younger girls.

some may say that teens understanding of pregnancy and parent hood may be twist by real life celebrity pregnancies as well as some initiative fictional movies

A list magazine coverages

We see front and centre in those celebrity magazines of “celeb moms” and their adorable babies

Not even a week goes by without some kind of celebrity baby coverage- front page picture of “baby bumps2 or coverage of showy celebrity baby showers: and of course, cute pictures of the babies themselves often with their doting, perfectly styled mums.

BUT…

Not everyone thinks that teenagers are running out to have babies because they see a pretty big-bellied woman in a magazine.

But it may be difficult for girls who are looking for directions or low self esteem girls or girl without parental support. The mixture of these factors may make it less hard for teens to have sex and some may work out the consequences wont be such a big deal. Girls that come from poor backgrounds are especially vulnerable.

My Research

I would be interviewing teenagers who chose to be pregnant and why they made this choice, was it affected by what they read or watch?

I also be interviewing magazine editors from the big magazines and asking them do they think teens are influenced by what they read?

I want to ask parents on what they think of magazines coverages on pregnant celebrities?

And maybe doctors, Mps on what they think should be done to decrease teenage pregnancy?

And the public’s take on teenage pregnancy? What they think of the celebrity culture and what they think should be done?

I would be doing my filming in London
