Candidates will present work effectively in a suitable format , demonstrating the use of suitable file types .   Graphics will be optimised for use on the web.

Creating Your Presentation <ul><li>There are 3 methods you can use to present your work. </li></ul><ul><li>Print screens in Microsoft Word </li></ul><ul><li>An example webpage in Macromedia Fireworks 8 </li></ul><ul><li>A working webpage in Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 </li></ul><ul><li>The following slides explain each of the methods listed above. </li></ul>

Print screens in Microsoft Word <ul><li>The easiest way to complete your presentation. </li></ul><ul><li>Open Client_presentation from your AO6 folder. </li></ul><ul><li>Open each of your Web Graphics in Fireworks 8. </li></ul><ul><li>Press F12 to view your graphics in Internet Explorer </li></ul><ul><li>Print screen your graphics and paste them into your client_presentation document. </li></ul>

Example Webpage in Fireworks <ul><li>To mock up a webpage in Fireworks open a new Fireworks file. </li></ul><ul><li>Set the stage to 1024 * 768 pixels (72 dpi) </li></ul><ul><li>Go to File > Import and import your navigation bar, rollover buttons and advertising banner </li></ul><ul><ul><li>You will not be able to import an animated advertising banner. </li></ul></ul>

A working webpage in Dreamweaver <ul><li>This is the best way to display your web graphics. </li></ul><ul><li>Open Macromedia Dreamweaver </li></ul><ul><li>Create a new HTML page. </li></ul><ul><li>Insert a table (Insert > Table) </li></ul><ul><li>Chose the amount of rows and columns you need. </li></ul><ul><li>Set the width to 100% </li></ul>

A working webpage in Dreamweaver <ul><li>Set up your site: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Go to Site > New Site </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Give your site a name (ignore the HTTP Address box) </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Next </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Make sure No is selected > Next </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Click on the yellow folder </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Select your Unit 21 folder > Next </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Select None for ‘How do you connect to your remote server’ </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Next </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Done </li></ul></ul>

A working webpage in Dreamweaver <ul><li>Open each of your graphics in Fireworks </li></ul><ul><li>Go to File > Export </li></ul><ul><li>Make sure you select COPY TO CLIPBOARD in the HTML box . </li></ul><ul><li>Click Export </li></ul><ul><li>Go back to Dreamweaver and right click in the correct cell and PASTE FIREWORKS HTML. </li></ul><ul><li>Do this for each of your graphics </li></ul>
