    Delicious instructions - Presentation Transcript

    1. Delicious 1.Open a web browser and type delicious.com into the address bar. Hit Enter. 2.Click on the Join Now! link in the top right-hand corner. 3.Enter your details and click Register. You can skip the last two steps. 4.Type delicious.com/help/bookmarklets into the address bar and hit Enter. 5.Scroll down to the Internet Explorer (Manual) instructions and follow them.. Breathe deeply, we are now going to bookmark a webpage: 1.Visit a webpage you would like to bookmark. 2.Click the 'Bookmark on Delicious' button on the link bar.. 3.Describe the webpage with some descriptive tags. (If the webpage has been bookmarked by others Delicious will suggest tags). 4.Click 'Save'. You can display your bookmarks in Moodle: 1.From the Delicious hompage click 'Settings' in the top right-hand corner. 2.Click Link Rolls under the Blogging heading towards the foot of the page. 3.You may like to add some tags (under Display Options) to filter the bookmarks that are displayed. 4.Click in the text box and copy the code to the clipboard by pressing Ctrl-C. 5.Open a new browser tab or window. 6.From the staff intranet click the Moodle link (or type elearning.wintec.ac.nz) and hit Enter. 7.Choose a course from your 'My courses'. 8.Click 'Turn editing on'. (Wipe the sweet from your brow). 9.In a block click in the 'Add a resource…' drop-down menu and select 'Compose a web page'. Give your new web page a name. 10.Skip over the Summary box to the Full text box. Click on the 'Toggle HTML Source' button. 11.Now paste in the linkroll code by choosing Paste from the Page menu (or press Ctrl+P). 12.Scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'Save and display'.
