The Purpose of multimedia in a educational setting are: <ul><li>As teacher we want to design, develop, and evaluate an authentic learning experience. </li></ul><ul><li>We want to incorporate different styles to keep our students interested. </li></ul><ul><li>One way to do this is using tools and resources to maximize content learning in context and to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in the NETS </li></ul>

Visual Technologies <ul><li>Educators agree that visuals are a critical part of instruction and learning. </li></ul><ul><li>A good visual design encourages and supports visual learning. </li></ul><ul><li>What is a good visual design </li></ul><ul><li>It is one that meets all principle of Relevance, Consistency, Proportion, Unity </li></ul>

Key points in teaching Multimedia <ul><li>You want to observe our students and assess what is the best way to get you point across. </li></ul><ul><li>What type of learners are they? </li></ul><ul><li>Do they need hands on, visual, audiotory, some may need all 3 </li></ul><ul><li>That is were we come in as a teacher. if we can incorpate all of the above with using all types of multimedia then we can help our kids succeed. </li></ul>
  7. 7. YES <ul><li>If we add new technology to our teaching such as a digtal device, or use a docoument camera. This will makes the content more exciting, interactive and engaging to both the student and the teacher. </li></ul><ul><li>This also gives the students the opportunity to use these devices to share ideas, make reports, demonstate projects and or discovery. </li></ul><ul><li>With the new technology now this helps keep everyone interested. </li></ul>
