the way, beating Devil by Design by 6 3/4 lengths in the Cat Chat Stakes for 3-year-old
fillies at Belmont Park. Trained by Todd Pletcher, Malibu Prayer got her first stakes
victory Wednesday while snapping a string of three straight seconds.
Now 3-for-8, Malibu Prayer ran the one mile on the fast track in 1:33.90 with John
Velazquez aboard.The 1-2 favorite against only three rivals, Malibu Prayer paid $3
and $2.10. Devil by Design returned $3. Pamona Ball was third followed by War Echo.
