  4. 4. Examples of Glogs
  5. 5. A  Glog  allows  students  to  create  an  online  poster  using  mul4media  such  as  audio,  video,  images  and  hyperlinks.  To  create  a  Glog  go  to  h<p://edu.glogster.com/   Click  to  choose   account  level  
  6. 6. Glogster  has  3  different  types  of  accounts.  Teacher  and  school  premium  accounts  and  the  basic  account.  For  our  purposes  we  will  choose  the  basic  account    
  7. 7. Before  you  create  your  Glog  you  need  to  create  an  account  
  8. 8. Once  your  account  is  created  and  you    are  logged  in.  Click  on  create  a  Glog  on  the  top  menu  bar  
  9. 9. This  will  open  up  a  default  blog  template  for  you  to  edit  
  10. 10. To  delete  the  default  graphics  on  your  poster  click  on  the  graphic.  Then  click  on  the  trash  icon  to  delete  the  graphic  
  11. 11. To  edit  the  background  of  your  Glog  click  on  WALL  in  the  formaIng  pale<e   This  opens  up  different  op4ons  from  which  you   can  choose  to  modify  the  look  of  your  wall’s   background  
  12. 12. You  can  also  add  video,  images  and  sound  by  clicking  on  the  appropriate    bu<on  in  the  formaIng  pale<e  and  then  clicking  on  upload  
  13. 13. To  insert  an  image  from  your  computer  click  on  upload  and  then  browse  to  the  image  file  and  double  click  it.  Your  image  file  should  now  appear  below  the  upload  bu<on   Click  on  the  picture  you  want  to  insert  in  your   poster  and  click  use  it  
  14. 14. Your  picture  should  now  appear  in  your  poster  you  can  drag  on  the  sides  to  resize  it  
  15. 15. To  insert  video  click  on  the  video  bu<on  then  you  can  either  upload  the  video  from  your  computer,  or  use  the  link  op4on  to  load  a  web  based  video  from  sites  such  as  YouTube.  You  can  also  use  the  Grab  op4on  to  record  a  video  of  yourself  using  your  computers  camera   Once your video appears here choose it then click on use it to insert it in your poster
  16. 16. To insert text click on the text button then choose from the optionsDon’t forget to click on USE IT when you choose the texttype you want
  17. 17. The default text box should show up in your poster now click on it to edit The  cursor  should  now  appear  and  allow  you   to  edit  Now  click  on  the  edit  bu<on  to  type  in  your  own  text  
  18. 18. The  op4ons  here  allow  you  to  change  the  font  color,  add  effects  and  hyperlink  the  text  
  19. 19. When you are done with your Glog click on save and publish at thetop of the screen. In the dialog box that appears give your blog a title,choose a category and make sure it is set to public then click save.
  20. 20. You  should  see  a  confirma4on  message  that  your    glog  has  been  published.  The  link  to  your  glog  is  also  displayed  for  you  to  copy  and  share  with  others
