  • Mode
    • Mode = the most common number, or the number that you see the most times.
    • 5, 6, 7, 5, 5, 6, 5, 7
    • What is the Mode of this set of numbers?
    • The answer is 5 because there are four 5s in the list.

    • Mean = average
    • Use these numbers: 2, 5, 4, 6, 4, 3, 7
    • Step 1 – Add up all the numbers in the set.
    • 2 + 5 + 3 + 4 + 4 + 3 + 7 = 28
    • Step 2 – Divide by the amount of numbers in the set.
    • 2 + 5 + 3 + 4 + 4 + 3 + 7 28  7 = 4
    • 7 numbers
    • Step 3 – So, 4 is your Mean.
