  • 2. Stanford Ashcraft Painted with RazorsStanford has made a niche for his unique magicrealism and impressionist inspired work. He showsregularly, and works as a professional artist.Stanford paints exclusively with razors. The richtextures and colors vibrate with energy, add an otherdimension to his figures and landscapes. With therazor painting as a constant to all of his work, his colorand style continues to evolve.Showing with established artists from New York, andAtlanta, his work would be considered mid-range inprice. The average size of his work ranges from 22x28inches to 3x4 ft. The art is well made, with each onehaving it’s own story to tell.

  • 9. BioStanford Ashcraft has lived in Marietta GA for thelast 13 years. He earned a BFA from WesternCarolina University, in Cullowhee NC, specializing inpainting and printmaking. Stanford has exhibitedthroughout the Southeast in the 1990s. He thenturned to commercial arts in 2002, where he wonmultiple awards including sponsored advertisingcontests by Pepsi, Old El Paso, Banana Boat andSnapple. Stanford with “Miriam and the Dancers”"Every paint-stroke is painted in razors”, saysStanford. Finding brushes too limiting to fullyexpress his vision, Stanford uses razors to apply oilsand acrylic to the canvas.2011-2012 marked an increase in exposure andsales of his art. His paintings become morerecognizable in Georgia as he continues to attractnew collectors.
