Peer-to-Peer Geschäftsmodelle (P2P) der Sharing Economy (z.B. MyTaxi, Wundercar, Wimdu, 9Flats) basieren auf den folgenden Grundprinzipien
- Anbietermarken werden durch Soziales Kapital/Reputation ersetzt
- P2P-Marktplätze florieren v.a. wenn Kapazitäten unterausgelastet sind und/oder die Produkte geringe Grenzkosten haben
- Trennung von Betrieb des Marktplatzes (d.h. v.a. Marketing und Technik) und dem Besitz und Betrieb der entsprechenden Produkte und Dienstleistungen
- Herstellen eines direkten Kontaktes und Vertrags zwischen Kunde und Anbieter
- Soziale Netzwerke spielen bei der Verbreitung eine wesentliche Rolle
