This study intends to propose the use of a
concept mapping tool as a visual
representation tool to develop students’
critical thinking.
A concept mapping tool – Popplet will be
introduced.

4. Problems
Most students do not have critical thinking
◦ Cannot evaluate the quality and reliability of
information in the Internet
◦ Cannot synthesize, integrate, and evaluate the
information they found from the Internet

13. Conclusion
This paper advocates using concept
mapping tools to facilitate students’
critical thinking. It is hoped that this
paper can provide K-12 teachers or
college teachers with an alternative -
using concept mapping tools, to teach
critical thinking.
So, we have 45 English as forieng langauge students. In our resreach, they have to do two things. The students read two texts. In the text 1, they read the ….. In the text 2, they lear without social annotaiton.
