  • • Sport in Russia has always been popular. Perhaps more than a half of the Russians have tried one or more kinds of sport in their childhood.
  • Five Rings of Moscow • Moscow Five Rings is a bicycle race held annually. • The first race was held in 1993 • The race takes place in Kremlin ring, Vorobievskoe ring, Luzhniki, Krylatskoje ring and Sadovoe ring
  • Russialoppet • Russialoppet is the largest ski marathon association, founded in 1997. • Russialoppet takes place in 7 regions in Russia and consists of 17 competitions.
  • Continental Hockey League • Continental Hockey League is an international professional ice hockey league based in Russia and founded in 2008. It is considered to be the strongest hockey league in Eurasia, and the secondbest in the world. • Russia (21 teams), Belarus (1 team), Kazakhstan (1 team), Latvia (1 team), Ukraine (1 team), Czech Republic (1 team), Slovakia (1 team), Croatia (1 team) are the members of the Hockey League
  • Russian Winter Meeting • Russian Winter Meeting is an indoor track and field competition which is held in Moscow every February. The meeting came into being in 1992. • The competition regularly attracts the foremost Russian track and field athletes. In 2011 it featured athletes from twenty-five countries.

  • Kremlin Cup • Kremlin Cup is a huge international tournament played at indoor tennis courts. • It was first held in 1990 and became the first international professional tennis event in Russia.

  • Moscow Peace Marathon
  • Marathon of Nations • It is a popular sport event held in Russia, it unites thousands of people every year. • The main idea of marathon is support of the healthy lifestyle. • The marathon starts in more than a hundred Russian cities. The final stage takes place in Moscow.
  • The Ski of Russia • The event was first organized in 1982. It always means winter holidays. 71 regions of Russia are involved in this event. • Everyone whose age is between 12 and 70 can participate in The Ski Of Russia and have a fun here.
