  • 3. Introduction What is English Literature?Is the literature written in Englishlanguage. It includes literaturecomposed in English by writerswho are not necessarily fromEngland.In order to know the culture thatencloses a language, it is veryimportant for the students to getclose to the literature in suchlanguage. Through novels, shortstories and poems the reader willbe able to understand the contextof the language he is studying.

  • 5. ProcessReading process:• Every Student will be free to choose an author of his preference.• The student will work on that specific author throughout the semester; reading poems, stories, essays or even novels according to
  • 6. ProcessWriting process:• The student will try to imitate the chosen author writing; he will choose a short text and will produce a similar one based on the structure and the communicative purpose of the author.• The student will write a free text as a final production.
  • 7. Resources• The main resource we will focus on will be English Literature and its most representative authors and writings. This resources could be divided chronologically, by genres or by countries.
