    • Hello. I am going to show you all how to do a kickflip and a pop-shuvit. First, I am going to explain what a kickflip is. It is when the edge of the board that is closest to your toes flips up towards you. A pop-shuvit is when the board does a 180 degree turn. You would want to know how to skateboard because it is a fun exercise and a quick and easy way of transportation.
  • 4.
    • For a kickflip, you want to position your feet so your back toes are on the back end of the board.
  • 5.
    • Your front foot should be at a 45 degree angle with your heel hanging off of the side.
  • 6.
    • You want to push the back end of the board down and kick out at about a 25 degree angle at the same time. When you kick want to “roll” your foot.
  • 7.
    • While the board is flipping under you, you want to bring your foot back and “catch” the board with both feet. Then slam down with both feet to land.
  • 8.
    • Then you can brag to your friends that you can do a cool trick on a skateboard.
  • 9.
    • Another trick you can do is a pop-shuvit. This is when the board does a 180 degree turn.
  • 10.
    • You want to position your feet so your front foot is 3/4 of the way up the board. Then your back toes should be hanging off the side of the end.
  • 11.
    • When you pop the board up, you want to scoop backwards with your back foot.
  • 12.
    • The board will start turning. When it has done a 180 degree turn, you catch it and slam down and land.
