  • 3. Common Misconception: “If I discuss my idea, someone will steal it!”
  • 4. Reality: Ideas are a Dime a Dozen
  • 5. Ultimately, it is better that you are out there executing on your idea than sitting in stealth mode, noodling on it.
  • 6. You NEED Feedback
  • 7. Most importantly, you need feedback from potential customers
  • 8. Discussing your idea with knowledgable people gives you access to perspectives that may be useful in advancing your project
  • 9. Unless you have algorithms or core technology inventions that are worth protecting, it is really an execution game.
  • 10. Most Software / Internet ideas are not worth protecting.
  • 11. But many are worth executing on.
  • 12. Stop obsessing over confidentiality, and get moving!
