  • 2. In a KS2 Maths SAT Paper B you might be asked to find the answer to a word problem that mixes pence with a fraction of a £ It is important that you either turn all of the values into £s or all of the values into pence before trying to find out the answer with a calculator.

To find out the answer, you must firstly change the £3 into 300p You then divide the amount you have to spend (300p) by the cost of the table tennis ball (60p) 300 ÷ 60 = 5 You can buy exactly 5 table tennis balls
