  4. 4. Conversion of conventional invertor to solar Application diagram The low cost, high efficiency & microcontroller based solar chargers are ideal for low power solar applica- tions. The microcontroller will sense the battery full charge voltage and will cut-off the battery when it reaches full charge. It will reconnect the battery if the battery drops to a preset level. The charger will also disconnect the panel from the battery to avoid the reverse current flow from the battery to panel during night. This product has a special feature to upgrade any conventional UPS in to solar UPS with first priority given to solar. The charger has the intelligence to connect & disconnect the AC mains to the UPS depending upon the battery voltage levels to ensure using solar as primary power & mains only for the emergency.   6. 6. Solar Pump for Irrigation Solar water pumping system consists of PV array, solar pump inverter and water pump. Solar pump inverter with MPPT varying frequency drive (VFD) will give maximum torque even at minimum sunlight. There is no need of any battery. Solar pump inverter directly drives the pump with high reliability. The DSP based control will track & extract maximum power from the solar panel so that motor will run at a con- stant torque for the wide range of intensity of sunlight from morning till evening. This will give 35% extra energy which results in pumping 35% more water compared with the conventional three phase inverter. At the same time, it can reduce system cost and maintenance costs.
