Transcript

  • 1. Wassily Kandinsky (1866-1944)
  • 2.   Kandinsky was a Russian painter. He was an art explorer who wasn’t afraid to try new things that other people hadn’t done before- kind of like Vashty’s dots.
  • 3.
    • A lot of Kandisnky’s art is abstract which means it’s hard to tell what the subject matter is.
  • 4. Much of Kandinsky’s art is made up of simple shapes, colors and line.
  • 5. Kandinsky was inspired by music and listened to it while he painted. One can almost “see” and “feel” the music when looking at some of his paintings.
  • 6. These are Kandisnky’s “dots”… how are they like Vashty’s? How are they different?
