Well Vanessa you have certainly selected the creme de la creme of Indian high profile people. A certain Dalip Singh wasan, Advocate., said this of his countrymen:
We have been told that when God was sending this man on this earth, especially to the side of India, He pronounced in the ears of each Indian, “ You are the first and the last person which has been created and established on this earth, who is given all the intelligence, all the beauty, all the handsomeness and all the best judgments .” And this Indian accepted this pronouncement of God and they had been carrying out this pronouncement since generation.

    Dear Vanessa,

Good, interesting presentation with a great choice of music too!

For those of us foreigners who have been privileged enough to travel to India, it is impossible not to be astonished by its dizzying, creative burst of cultures, religions, races and languages from its billion people (well... close to a billion!!).

Every aspect of this wonderful country presents itself on a vast scale, worthy in comparison only to the superlative mountains that overshadow it. Perhaps the only thing more difficult than to be indifferent to India and the achievements of its diverse peoples, would be to describe or understand India completely. Personally, I love travelling there, and I have been humbled by some of the good people I met along the way.

    Hugs from Graham

During his tenure as the Finance Minister, Manmohan Singh initiated many economic reforms in India which resulted in the end of the infamous Licence Raj system in 1991. Even thou his adversaries have called him the weakest prime minister the country has ever had, Manmohan Singh has been widely credited in propelling the United Progressive Alliance to power for its second term making him the first Indian Prime Minister since Jawaharlal Nehru to return to power after completing a full five-year term.

But not only has Nooyi held both offices since 2001, but also named as 2009 CEO of the Year by Global Supply Chain Leaders Group for promoting socially responsible business practices.
