Another building block is the supervision and administration functionality for Eaton UPSs and ePDUs. This includes load monitoring, device status, notifications, environmental monitoring, remote outlet control and much more. Protection is one of the most valuable functions of power management. This involves the ability to maximize uptime through sophisticated power management controls and to perform an orderly, graceful shutdown of applications, operating systems and ultimately hardware during extended power outages, in even complex network environments. This also includes the ability to restart equipment in an orderly fashion when power returns.
