    1. View Mrs. F.’s slideshow to learn even MORE about adjectives.
      • DESCRIBE a noun or pronoun
      • The small boy pulled the heavy wagon.
      • Common adjectives do NOT need capitalization .
      • But proper adjectives DO !
      • Proper adjectives are formed from proper nouns.
      • Our school mascot is the English bulldog.
      • Point out specific nouns
      • Remember that demonstrate is the root word of demonstrative
      • Only 4: This, That, These, Those
      • This cow will eat those daisies!
      • NOT definite or specific
      • All, Another, Both, Few, Many, Several, Some
      • There are many strawberries in the basket.
      • Ask a question
      • ????????????
      • Whose, Which, What
      • Whose cheeseburger is this?
      • Compares two nouns
      • Uses MORE or –ER ending
      • She is happi er than you.
      • She is more excited , too!
      • Compare three or more nouns
      • Uses –EST ending or MOST
      • He has the neat est work in the class.
      • He is the most diligent worker, too.
      • Descriptive Adjectives DESCRIBE
      • Slimy frog
      • Proper Nouns are CAPITALIZED
      • Washington apple
      • Demonstrative = DEMONSTRATE or POINT
      • Answer this question.
      • Indefinite=Uncertain Number
      • Many countries
      • Interrogative=Questioning
      • Which day?
      • Comparative-Compares 2
      • Not Just Loud - Louder
      • Superlative-Compares 3+
      • Loud
      • Louder
      • Loudest
