  2. 2. Fat Thursday ( in Polish: Tłusty czwartek) It is a traditional Polish feast marking the last Thursday before Lent. This year on 15th February.
  3. 3. It involves the massive consumption of cakes and doughnuts. Traditionally it is a day of gluttony and belly-worship. People usually meet in their homes or cafés with their friends and relatives and eat large amounts of doughnuts, cakes, sweets, and other meals forbidden during Lent.
  4. 4. Popular Polish dishes served on this day. Among the most popular Polish dishes served on that day are doughnut filled with marmalade and faworki. Faworki are French dough fingers with a lot of powder sugar.
  5. 5. A lot of calories... Women have to be careful. They can put on weight easily. Then they have to do a lot of exercises. But men also want to be fit.
